Bowen Chorale's the Name.

Hey everyone!

For the Chinese New Year performance, a few of our lucky members were chosen to sing a song chosen by Ms.Hu. Who? Yes, Ms. Hu. It is called "Xin Nian Dao". The people performing / maybe performing are:

Yen Shan,Brenda,Sandra, Yi Cheen, Zhi Ting, Gina,Jing Han,Hong Ee,Jie long and Zhi Yong.

They will be performing together and will be practicing hard. So, lets all give them our support and cheer for them especially during their performance!! Jia You!

05 FEB 2010 : 1.30 - 3.30 @ Humanities Home Room
09 FEB 2010 : 3.30 - 5.30 @ Music Room
12 FEB 2010 : NO PRACTICE (CNY celebration)
16 FEB 2010 : NO PRACTICE (CNY public holiday)
19 FEB 2010 : 1.30 - 3.30 @ Humanities Home Room
23 FEB 2010 : 3.30 - 5.30 @ Music Room
26 FEB 2010 : 1.30 - 6.00 (First rehearsal for PUBLIC PERFORMANCE, venue TBC)

IMPORTANT:
In view of the upcoming Public Performance on 13th march 2010, choir members can expect extra practices and rehearsals to be slotted into the schedule this month.

NOTES:
1. There may be slight changes to the schedule. Some members will have extra meeting to help out in the preparations for Public Performance, lunchtime performances and other events. Should there be any changes, th teachers/leaders will inform you.
2. Check the Bowen Chorale website (http://bowen-chorale.blogspot.com), Facebook group page and notice (outside the Music Room) REGULARLY for updates.

RULES & PROCEDURES (during choir practice):
1. All members are expected to be punctual for every practice.
2. Strictly NO use of handphones and other electronic devices during practices. Those caught using these will have their phones confiscated.
3. Absent members are expected to submit a medical certificate or provide a valid reason to teachers-in-charge (in advance where possible). Disciplinary action will be taken agaibnst frequently absent members who fail to provide valid reasons.
4. Discipline and order is to be maintained at all times during choir practices.

Hey choir! Quick notice for you all, although i know it's abit too late here. :)

There will be choir practice TOMORROW, as well as on FRIDAY.

Please remember to bring your choir file!

On Thursday, there will be a bonding session with the Sec 1s, so every member is expected to bring along their choir tee to change out of it. :)

ATTENTION!!!!!! :)

Please take note that there is NO choir tomorrow, Tuesday, 12Jan. Practice was cancelled to let us all rest after an intensive training last week. And yeah, some of the Sec3s couldn't make it due to HMT lesson too.

Choir will only resume NEXT TUES, 19thJan. 3.30-5.30pm at music/ava room.

Oh and to those going for the Sec3 camp, have lots of fun this week!! :)

MAMMA MIA! :)

Everyone did really awesome for the performance today! Keep it up guys. Yeahh, we were loud. YAY!!!! Our efforts paid off, yeah? I hope we managed to attract some sec ones to join choir. HEHEE they really should!!

HAHA. So yeahh, let's all do our best for our next performance, which is the public performance i guess. ;)

Hi everyone! Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and had a good break. I have some announcements to make..

1) Preparation for CCA Carnival (Warning: CRAZY week ahead- just tahan ok)
CCA Carnival is happening on Sat 9 Jan 2010. We will have to put up an item, and it has to be a lively song. We will sing Mamma Mia if ev...eryone is ok with it? Bring whatever scores/lyrics you have of it next practice. I will need to meet with booth committee people soon.

2) Practice Schedule for first week of school
Mon 4 Jan: 2-4pm- choir practice@music/ava room
Tues 5 Jan: 3-5pm- Complusory school rehearsal for CCA Carnival (hall)
Wed 6 Jan: 330-530pm- choir practice@ music/ava room
Thur 7 Jan: 3-5pm- another compulsory school rehearsal for CCA Carnival (hall)
Fri 8 Jan: Prob after school hours- booth comm have to help with set up of booth
Sat 9 Jan: CCA Carnival itself! Booth people report at 8am. Rest of the choir report at 10am. The programme ends at 1230pm.

3) I know it's a
heavy week as you're required to come down almost everyday, but if there's any
strong/valid reason why you need to be excused, pls tell me personally in
advance and not disappear. If not you will be marked as absent without valid
reason

4) We will be having
a new teacher joinin...g us for choir, so pls welcome her warmly. I will intro her
next practice (this coming MON!)

5) I will be putting up all this info in a few days on the noticeboard so pls
check. Pls tell your friends who are not on FB or did not see this.
